International organisations’ activation on Muhibbullah’s assassination.

International organisations have reacted to the killing of top Rohingya leader Mr. Muhibbullah at the lombasia camp in Kutupalong, ukhiya,Cox’sBazar.

On Wednesday, 29 September, Muhibbullah,the founder of the Arakan Rohingya society for peace and human rights and a voice fighting for the Rohiangyas was brutally shot dead.
International human rights groups,including the United Nations, the united nations High Commissioner for refugee(UNHCR) and united states,have called for the killing to be brought to Justice.

In a statement on Friday, US secretary of state,Anthony blinken called for “Transparent investigation” into muhibbullah’s assassination.His statement was published on the state Department’s website yesterday.
“The news of the assassination of muhibbullah, the Rohingya leader in Bangladesh, has shocked us.He was a courageous and strong Advocate for the protection of Rohingya’s human rights around the world”Anthony Blinken said in a statement. He added he would live as Rohingya leader around the world.

Muhibbullah spoke at the United Nations Council in Geneva as well as the Ministerial meeting on religious Freedom in the United States in 2019 During his visit to the United States, he shared his experiences as a religious persecuted people with the US president(Donald Trump) and vice president.

It’s worth mentioning that Muhibbullah and his organisation worked to raise the demands of the Rohingya people in thr Rohingya camps and in the international areana in order to ensure the rights of the Rohingyas who were forcibly evicted from Myanmanr.
There was lack of of an acceptable Rohingya leader for the almost one million displaced Rohingyas.Muhibbullah had filled that gap for the last few years.

Muhibullah was a resident of Maungdaw Township in Rakhine State. He came to the Ukhia camp in Bangladesh after crossing the border with other Rohingyas to save his life when the Myanmar army launched a devastating operation in the area.
