Indo-Bangla Journalists pay respect to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib

Dhaka : Journalists from Bangladesh and India today paid respect to the father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the eve of national mourning day on August 15.

Indo-Bangla Journalists Forum (IBJF) organized a virtual online meeting on today.

Journalists’ community of the two neighboring country hopes that friendship will be strengthen in future with the cooperation and bilateral relation. Journalists to journalists relation through exchange program will boost up and peoples to people’s relation will be stronger by this forum’s activity. Journalists of the Forum will take steps for capacity building of the members and promote media rights & freedom of expression alongside cultural exchange program.

Near about 22 journalists members of the forum participated the meeting yesterday.

President of the forum Mr. Geetartha Pathak, senior Journalist from India presided over the meeting. Forum Secretary ATM Momtazul Karim delivered welcome address.

From India forum leaders Mr. Shiva kumar, Sohail Ahmed and Bishajit, Asem Bhakta, Shahidul Islam, Shamim Sultana Ahmed, Duina Barbarua, Basheer Ahmed, Riyaz Ahmed, Syed Abu Tahir and Mr. Ramkung attended the zoom meeting among others.

From Bangladesh Sajjad Alam Khan Tapu, Shawkat Ali, Kurshid Mohal Shapla, Nasreen Geeti, Deepak Acharjee, Shahnaj Begum Poly, Ruhi Shamshad Ara, Umme Jannatul Ferdous Shapla, M A Hadi, Mahbub Roni, Khairuzzaman Kamal also attended.
