News Desk::

China will gift the second batch of 600,000 doses of Covid-19 vaccine to Bangladesh.

The announcement came following a phone conversation between the Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Bangladeshi Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen this evening.

Just nine days ago, China provided the first batch of 500,000 doses of Covid-19 vaccine as a gift to Bangladesh.

This fully reflects that China attaches great importance to the friendly relations between the two countries, said the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka.

“China will be always with our Bangladeshi friends whether it rains or shines,” says Hualong Yan, minister counselor and DCM at the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka.

China said it pays close attention to the latest situation of the epidemic in Bangladesh. At the critical time point in Bangladesh’s fight against the epidemic, China is concerned about the urgent need for the vaccine of Bangladeshi friends and overcomes the huge demand for domestic and foreign orders and the shortage of vaccine supply.

It is believed that the arrival of the second batch of Chinese gift vaccine will help the Bangladeshi government and people build a strong line of defense against the epidemic, said the Chinese Embassy.

In the future, China is willing to provide the necessary support for Bangladesh and South Asian countries to fight the epidemic, deepen anti-epidemic cooperation with Bangladesh, and effectively protect the health and life safety of the people of the two countries.
