Remittance soars, nearly doubles year-on-year in April

Dhaka::

 

Bangladesh received more remittances in the first 10 months of the current fiscal year ($20.67 billion) than the same period in the previous year ($14.868 billion).

Remittance inflow doubled in April compared to the same month last year. It was $2.067 billion in April, up from $1.093 billion in the same month a year ago.

The country saw its remittance grow by 39% from July 2020 to April 2021.
