The Civil Aviation of Bangladesh today issued the following travel advisory, making 14-day institutional quarantine mandatory for all passengers including those wishing to travel to Bangladesh from the United Kingdom and Ireland irrespective of the Covid-19 vaccination. The latest advisory will be effective from midnight (00:01 Hours Bangladesh time) on 31 March 2021.
- Irrespective of the COVID-19 vaccination, all passengers coming to Bangladesh shall mandatorily possess and show ‘PCR based COVID-19 negative certificate’ during departure from origin and on arrival at the Airport. The PCR test shall be done within 72 hours of the flight departure time.
- On arrival in Bangladesh, all passengers originating from any European country including UK, shall have to complete mandatory 14 (fourteen) days institutional quarantine at government facilities or government approved hotel at passenger’s own expenses. Upon completion of the quarantine period COVID-19 PCR test will be carried out and the passenger will be released if the test result is Negative.
